Request sandbox access
If you're an existing WCMS user, you should already have access to the sandbox site. If you're not able to access the sandbox, contact WebHelp.
Site Builder sandbox
You do not need to request a site to begin exploring Site Builder.
A demo site is available in the WCMS where you can:
- Explore different page layouts
- Add and arrange content components
- Practice building pages in a low-risk environment
Accessing the sandbox
- Log into builder.wcms.iu.edu
- Open the SITE: picker at the top-left corner of the screen
- Choose
IU-BUILDER.sandbox
If you're logged into
builder.wcms.iu.edu and don't see the sandbox in the sites dropdown, contact WebHelp.
Important limitations

The sandbox site is for learning and experimentation only

You cannot publish pages from the sandbox

You cannot test custom code or third-party integrations in the sandbox

The sandbox is reset every morning and all content is removed

The sandbox should not be used to create content you plan to keep
Request your own site
Once you’re comfortable with Site Builder, you can request your own site to start building real content.
